Hello, I’m Philippa.
I set up Witts End Business Services in 2018, with the aim of providing Freelance PA/VA, Social Media/Administrative business support to rural/small businesses, including sole traders and Independent Directors.
As a person I have a passion for helping business owners, by adding value and working with them to give back time to concentrate on running the “core” business.
Based in Wiltshire, I have over 25 years experience as a PA, Secretary, Administrator and Project Administrator. I have worked in many different industries including retail, financial services, public sector, healthcare, both for global companies and SME enterprises.
Currently I support the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce as their Secretary, working with businesses in the local community.
Previously I have worked as a PA/Secretary to a Director and their direct reports and the wider departmental team. This has included assistance with expenses, international travel organisation, meeting logistics, company event organisation, ad hoc projects and departmental team webinars.
One of my strengths is organisation / administration whether it is organising a simple meeting or a more complex two-day offsite team event for 100 people. I am more than happy to get involved with anything that requires action or sorting out. I have a proactive approach to work and enjoy a challenge.
I am customer-focussed and an honest and hard-working people person. I genuinely enjoy helping people and I will go that extra mile to ensure that things are completed to a high standard.
As a person I enjoy anything concerning the environment or countryside and in my spare time I enjoy time with my dogs, nordic walking, outdoor pursuits, and spending time in the garden.
About Witts End
I have always wanted my own business, so after taking some time out, Witts End Business Services was set up in 2018 with the objective to provide rural business support, to let you, as a business owner concentrate on the important job, your core business, whilst Witts End lightens your workload by undertaking those administrative tasks in hand, keeping in touch with you along the way.
The benefits of working with Witts End are assisting people working at home with admin/booking appointments, rural small businesses and those businesses just reaching the point of becoming more established requiring extra assistance with business support.
When first working with a client I feel it is important to know the way the client’s company works, understand the role in hand in order to work proactively moving forward, especially if working remotely.
Depending upon geographical location, I am happy to work on site initially on a Freelance basis if required and at other stages throughout the Contract or period of work by arrangement. This is dependent upon each individual client.
At Witts End, I undertake those time-consuming administrative tasks, lightening your workload, allowing you to focus on the job of running & growing your business. I help small business owners, those who work from home, tradespeople, start-ups & Independent Directors – whoever needs our help!
I offer pre-arranged monthly support as well as assistance on an ad hoc basis.
I am able to work on site with you, or remotely from our own offices to suit you and your business. What you need may change as your business grows, and Witts End will grow with you! You can be assured of my discretion & confidentiality.
When first working with you, I value the chance to get to know the way your business works in order to understand the role Witts End can play and to enable me to work proactively moving forward. I am contactable daily and also encourage mutually convenient catch-up meetings with our clients.
